PPE
When working on a scaffold, the right PPE is not just a legal requirement, it’s a fundamental layer of protection. Scaffold operations often involve working at height, handling heavy tube and fittings, and using powered tools.
By equipping yourself properly, you greatly reduce the risk of serious injury. Our PPE range is selected to support scaffolders in staying safe, efficient, and compliant throughout every phase of the job.

Essential PPE Items for Scaffold Work
Safety on a scaffold site starts with the basics: a quality safety helmet, tough safety footwear, and a high-visibility garment. These items protect you from falling objects, give you the visibility you need, and help keep you steady when navigating tubes and platforms. According to the National Access & Scaffolding Confederation’s SG4 guidance, head protection is especially critical because of the risk of impact or a swinging fall.
NASC
As soon as you’re working at height where collective fall protection (like guardrails) doesn’t fully eliminate the risk, fall-arrest equipment becomes vital. That means a harness and a shock-absorbing lanyard clipped to a secure anchorage point. SG4:22 recommends using personal fall protection equipment (PFPE) appropriately, recognising that while it doesn’t stop a fall from happening, it significantly reduces harm by limiting the arrest force.
NASC
Beyond height safety, hand protection is crucial. Durable gloves ensure you can grip tubes, couplers and tools securely without sacrificing dexterity. And because scaffolders regularly use power tools or handle rough materials, eye protection (like safety goggles) guards against sparks, dust, or flying debris. Good PPE practice also includes tool tethering, tools should be secured to prevent them falling from height.
For some jobs, additional protection is needed. Coveralls or workwear that resists snagging and gives you freedom of movement can make a real difference, especially when working in awkward positions. If you’re on a windy, dusty or contaminated site, respirators or disposable coveralls might be a necessary part of your full PPE kit.
Why Our PPE Range Stands Out
We know that scaffolders don’t just need PPE , they need site-ready, fit-for-purpose gear. That’s why we stock items from trusted brands, with robust construction, the right certification and suitable for daily use at height. Our PPE options reflect the kinds of tasks scaffolders face: from erecting tube-and-fitting scaffolds to installing tie systems or inspection points.
We also prioritise practical trade availability. Whether you need a handful of harnesses, a batch of helmets for a new crew, or a bundle of gloves and goggles for tool teams, we make it easy to order and deliver across the UK. We understand downtime is costly, having reliable PPE available helps keep your project safe and on schedule.
