Technical Information
The ECLW is designed to fit on the end of a standard scaffold tube.
It is a 6mm thick, mild steel, plated washer with an internal lipped section that is designed to allow for the centring of a tied threaded bar through a scaffold tube (this will enable adjustability in length of the tie). The 17mm internal hole diameter is designed to allow M16 threaded bar to pass through.
The maximum allowable tensile load allowed through the ECLW is 44kN… Ref BS 5950-1:2000 BS4190:2001 Bolt Loading capacities, non preloaded ordinary bolts.
